Even with a world turned upside down, fashion never sleeps. Enter Stockholm Fashion Week 2021.
Stockholm Fashion Week was founded in 2005 with the objective of putting Stockholm and Swedish fashion on the international fashion scene. This year the Stockholm Fashion Week will be completely digitally with online-shows and presentations.
Swedish Stockings is one of the selected Swedish brands that will host a digital show during SFW.
Watch our presentation and conversation with our CEO and founder Linn Frisinger and Vouge UK's Emily Chan.
How would you explain Swedish Stockings SS21 collection?
The SS21 collection features our first ever plant based tights, and as always, emission-free produced tights and socks made from recycled yarn. Inspired by the fresh and vibrant flowers and colours that nature brings us every spring – Pastel green, blue and pink hues compliment joyful prints of dots and ditsy florals.
How has going digital changed fashion for you and how have you had to adapt your business during the pandemic?
”We have put more focus on creating dialogue between us and our customers, enabling a transparent, mutual respect for the situation. We we have experienced some short term decrease in demand for our party styles, however this has established new routines and processes in terms of how our assortment on a whole is planned and executed.
In general, people have become more aware of, and careful when it comes to consumption of fast fashion. Since our brand is built with sustainability at the core, and our innovative products deliver on both quality and longevity, we have experienced a lot of support and encouragement”
